| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | With modern day life as hectic as it is, I find myself looking for ways to keep myself better organized, less forgetful, and more productive. When I was younger and life was simpler, I was able to mentally keep track of all the things/stuff I needed to get accomplished. But with more responsibility and old age (aka less braincells), that To-Do list is constantly well beyond my capability to keep my head above water without some organizational assistance. Since I carry my iPad around with me (almost) everywhere I go, I thought it the perfect place to keep my To-Do list (vs written on the palm of my hand or scraps of paper in my wallet). I looked through the various apps in iTunes (there are many…..) that are designed to help keep you organized and Cultured Code’s Things for iPad stood out amongst the crowd. … [visit site to read more] Filed in categories: Reviews, iPhone, iPad, iPod related Tagged: iPad Things for iPad Review originally appeared on The Gadgeteer on August 27, 2010 at 2:55 pm.
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Android devices such as the Motorola Droid X and Droid 2 are super hot right now. The great thing about them is that unlike the Apple iPhone, there is more than one choice if you want a phone with the Android OS. We usually gravitate to the high end smartphones here on The Gadgeteer, but today Bryan and I want to show you Verizon’s least expensive Android phone for those of you that don’t want to spend a lot of bucks to dip your toe into the pond of little Green robots. It’s the LG Ally. Julie’s comments are in Black and Bryan’s are in Blue. … [visit site to read more] Filed in categories: Android related, Reviews Tagged: Android LG Ally Android Smartphone for Verizon Review originally appeared on The Gadgeteer on August 27, 2010 at 10:30 am.

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | ThinkGeek is offering a remote control light switch that allows you to control a lamp without the expense of having a light switch installed. You plug a module into a power socket, then plug a lamp into the module. Place the Instant Switch within 60 feet of the power module and you’ll be able to remotely flip the lamp on/off and adjust its brightness with the dimmer control. I’ve seen a similar remote light switch designed by an artist with a metal switchplate enclosed in an acrylic box that starts at $150 – and it has no dimmer control. ThinkGeek’s Instant Switch is a much smarter option at $24.95 – no electrician’s fees and no artist … [visit site to read more] Filed in categories: Home Tech, News Tagged: Remote-control light switch Control a Lamp With a Remote Control Light Switch originally appeared on The Gadgeteer on August 27, 2010 at 7:30 am.
